Fall is here!

And with it my seemingly "left behind" when I moved away from Illinois allergies! I am looking forward to a good hard frost, and the demise of 10 million Asian Lady Beetles.

I have been taking care of my cousing MarySue's Chickens this week, I can't wait till spring when Mother and I have chickes of our own. There is just something about chickens, other than the eggs and meat, that is wonderful. I could sit and watch the girls all day, they talk to each other, they talk to me, they talk just to be talking!

New Job!!!

I start my new job tomorrow! I will be a baker at a local grocery store, part-time. I can't mention the name of the store because I signed something that said I can't "blog" about my work there, weird!

I am happy to be baking again and out the the horrible gas station in town. I will also be working harvest at the grain elevator in town on my days off from the store...busy girl!

Here is a pic of my cousin MarySue's rooster (Buff Orpington), she has another almost just like him, but a little younger that I think I am going to try to talk her out of!

Phoebe the Farm Dog

Phoebe has adjusted well to farm life, she still barks at the cows now and then and runs through Mother's garden, but all in all she seems pretty happy!
